It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

I know it is only October, but I have to admit that I am already humming Christmas songs and getting excited about putting up a tree and Christmas decorations! I just love how cozy my home feels during the Christmas season. It probably doesn’t help that at the beginning of September, I dressed my kiddos up in their Christmas jammie finest for a quick photo session at my studio, and look at the results! Quite possibly some of my most favourite pictures of my little ones, ever!

It was their favourite photo session, too! Usually, when I want to take their picture, I ask them to smiley nicely and look at the camera. This time, after one or two traditional photos, we broke out the pillows for some pillow fights and served them milk and cookies in bed. And on a white bedspread, no less! They thought it was heavenly and requested that all photo sessions work like this.

I told them we will have to see. I love candid photos, but I still need my “everyone look and smile” pictures too. Perhaps we will go for a mix- a little of what I want and a little of what they prefer.
