Meet my baby sister… well, she isn’t quite the baby, but she’s younger than me so it counts! She got married in March, blending two great families into one amazing family. We were hoping to do some family photos then, to celebrate this new beginning but March in Utah is a little bit dreary and grey. At least, it was this year! Instead, we scheduled their Provo Canyon family photo session for when I was up there in June.
Provo Canyon is one of my favourite places to visit each time I am in Utah. Not only are the temps cooler (I am usually there in the summer), but the mountains are just so beautiful! My kiddos love running around in the big grassy fields and dipping their toes in the icy cold river. We often take picnic dinners into the Canyon with us and spend hours enjoying the beauty of Utah.
My sister’s Provo Canyon family photo session was the first time I have done a formal photo shoot in the Canyon and it did not disappoint! The light was beyond dreamy and everything was so green and alive. And nothing beats that fresh mountain air. The four boys all smiled and looked at the camera at one point or another, and we got plenty of fun candid shots as well- including the boys special handshakes with their dad!
Blending two families into one is a tricky task, but Kayti and Brad are navigating it with such grace. It is so fun to have three new nephews and a new brother in law as part of our family. I am so glad that Kayti and Brad allowed me the pleasure of capturing their first photos as a family of 6. I would say this Provo Canyon family photo session was a huge success!
