Zev | 3rd Birthday Session
Play Sessions are my favourite. I know, I know. I say that about every type of session I do, but these sessions are SO much fun! There is something incredible about capturing the every day moments that might otherwise be forgotten as our kiddos grow! Zev’s 3rd birthday session was full of those fun, every day moments that I am sure his mom is happy to have recorded!
Zev’s 3rd birthday session is extra special to me. When his mom was in the hospital earlier this summer, he stayed with us for several days, so he truly is part of our family. This made photographing him even more fun!
For Play Sessions, I encourage parents to bring a variety of their little one’s favourite things to include in the photos. Zev’s mom brought the best assortment of Zev’s favourite books and toys. We had fun with bubbles and did a puzzle. I especially loved photographing him with Mr. Potato Head. (Fun fact- I have a pretty big Mr. Potato Head collection, with a ton of Disney and Star Wars specific pieces.) I couldn’t help but giggle when Zev put the Mr. Potato Head hat on his own head and started laughing hysterically!
When Zev put on his Flash cap and mask, things got really fun! Zev is extra fast, especially for a 3 year old. I’ve been told he gets that from his dad. The white room in my studio isn’t a large space, but Zev still managed to run circles at top speed. It made for some pretty fun photos that show his personality perfectly!
But all of those images aside, the ones I love the most are when Zev and his mama got in the frame together! I love being able to give moms beautiful images of them and their little ones, and Zev and Crystal’s pictures are particularly sweet.
