Meet Claire

Hi! I’m Claire, a midwestern girl turned desert dweller because people do crazy things for love! But I’m not the only one doing crazy things in the name of love… almost 10 years ago, my sweet husband Scott agreed to a small flock of backyard chickens and so began my obsession with having a little backyard farm.

We’ve taken a quarter acre HOA lot in the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona and turned it into our own little paradise. We have 5 fruit trees, a dozen chickens and two ducks, a vegetable patch, and my Aloha garden where I grow a variety of Plumeria trees. I’m also dipping my toes in the world of cut flowers and worm composting, so there is always something new and exciting happening around here!

When I’m not playing in the dirt, I’m a professional birth and baby photographer. I love helping mamas celebrate the arrival of their precious new babies through photographs that can be treasured for generations to come. I’m also the chef, maid, chauffeur, nurse and tutor for the Waite Fab Five. Our five kiddos range from almost 15 years old to 2. They keep life busy but magical, all at once.
